Established under the Swami Vivekanand Subharti Vishwavidyalaya Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam, 2008 (U.P. Act No. 29 of 2008), which was approved by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and endorsed by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh in September 2008, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University is recognized as a university under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Under the auspices of the Subharti K.K.B. Charitable Trust, Meerut, which has a distinguished history of service in the areas of social welfare, healthcare, and education, the university was founded.
